美國特勤局表示，執法人員在白宮附近一輛車內發現一名持有多把槍枝的男子，他聲稱聽見腦中聲音要他刺殺總統川普，這名嫌疑人已遭拘捕並遭控罪名。
美聯社報導，根據國土安全部聲明，特勤局人員昨（6日）晚上接近一名在停妥車輛內「行跡可疑」的男子，隨後將他逮捕。美國官員表示，犯嫌克里諾斯（Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos）之後描述，他腦中有聲音要他前往美國首都，殺害這位共和黨籍總統。
不久後，執法人員發現犯嫌的車輛已被通報失竊，他持有3把不同的槍枝與數十發子彈。自川普去年重返執政以來，特勤局與其他執法機關便接二連三逮捕威脅川普或他家人性命的人士，這是最新一起案件。
聲明指出，克里諾斯是委內瑞拉移民，他於2024年3月經由德州進入美國後非法居留。國土安全部表示，他已被控罪，目前仍由美國司法部法警局拘押。
國土安全部長穆林（Markwayne Mullin）在聲明中說：「多虧了我們英勇的特勤局人員，這名在車內擺放3把槍械的非法移民，在還來不及傷害任何人之前，就在白宮附近遭到逮捕。」
