店主擋在門口大喊「住手」，有人上前安撫，將她帶到一旁，下一秒大批黑衣人更故意闖進店裡。苦心經營多年的店面，短短幾小時遭到破壞，超市員工也只能無助站在原地。法國民眾直言，這件事令人心碎，也感到難以置信，質疑難道每次示威都要發生這樣的事，認為這種情況絕對不能接受。
法國抗議演變成暴力事件，多間商店玻璃被砸碎，商品幾乎被搬空，部分商店遭到縱火，留下焦黑痕跡。網路上也有消息稱，迪奧擔心警方無法保護店面，緊急調派自家保全駐守旗艦店。法國民眾坦言，雖然為法國感到難過，但也認為這一切都是法國人自作自受。
