美國國寶級歌后、兩度摘下奧斯卡金像獎的芭芭拉史翠珊，24日在推特發文，大讚台灣防疫成功，僅有7例武漢肺炎死亡案例，並稱「這就是真正的領導力，就像令人讚嘆的台灣女總統蔡英文」。
芭芭拉史翠珊（Barbra Streisand）4月就曾公開稱讚台灣防疫有成，她當時推文寫道：「台灣有2000萬人口，卻只有6例死亡、約350例確診。人們獲得篩檢、隔離措施嚴格，民眾如今恢復上班。」

她10月24日又在推特發文說：「台灣，這個國家人口將近2千4百萬，卻僅有7例武漢肺炎確診死亡！這就是真正的領導能力，就如令人讚嘆的台灣女總統蔡英文。」

緊接著上一篇推文，芭芭拉史翠珊過了約15分鐘後又在推特發文，並附上一篇4月的新聞報導說：「還有，4月的這份文章指出，蔡英文樂於與全世界分享台灣的防疫經驗。川普是否不樂意接受女性總統的建議呢？」

貼文一出，國外網友紛紛留言表示：「他們做得太棒了」、「我女兒住台灣三年了，他們每個人都把口罩戴好，完整罩住鼻子或下巴，另外還密切追蹤感染者行蹤」。
還有網友表示：「完全贊同，這是因應疫情的正確方式，我們原本可以做得更好」；也有網友認為台灣防疫之所以成功是「因為台灣人不信任中國及世界衛生組織！」。
