美國知名音樂團體「奧斯蒙家族 The Osmonds」成員韋恩‧奧斯蒙德（Wayne Osmond）因嚴重中風猝逝，同團的親弟弟也向外界證實這則死訊。

根據《Page SIx》報導，音樂團體「奧斯蒙家族」是由一群現實生活中皆為親手足的歌手組成，因各個時期的成員不同有著許多別稱，如「奧斯蒙德兄弟 Osmond Brothers」，全部9名兄弟姊妹來自猶他州奧格登（Ogden）的音樂世家，父母也是知名音樂家。

近日，家族中排行老五的梅里爾‧奧斯蒙德（Merrill Osmond）透露，當地時間1月1日晚間，排行老四的哥哥韋恩因嚴重中風，於猶他州鹽湖城（Salt Lake City）某間醫院，在家人陪伴下離世，享壽73歲。

對於哥哥生前突發的病情，梅里爾透露「當我得知韋恩中風時，我第一個反應就是跪下祈禱，並立即開車前往鹽湖城的醫院探望他」；在韋恩離世後，梅里爾十分不捨地與哥哥道別「他在音樂創作上有著極高的天賦，加上他的謙遜，讓韋恩成為一個偉大的人」。
奧斯蒙家族的發言人也向外界證實韋恩的死訊，指出「他留下的信仰、音樂、愛和笑聲影響著世界各地許多人的生活，我們愛他，並且會永遠思念著他」。
